Lake Glenville: It's Gonna Be a Blast!

The 24th annual Friends of Lake Glenville Fireworks Over The Lake will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021, at approximately 9:30 PM!! Let’s gather safely and responsibly in your watercraft or on land to enjoy this always spectacular celebration of our Nation’s Independence. The fireworks will be launched from our usual spot, The Pointe, just north of Trillium on the west side of Lake Glenville. Kindly adhere to the direction of law enforcement officers in watercraft regarding distance from the shoreline and between boats depending on wind direction. ( Content: Friends of Lake Glenville)

Lake Glenville Fireworks

Jason Walle captured some great images of fireworks over Lake Glenville in North Carolina a few years ago. Amazing show over the water with all the boats below.

Live music will return with a concert by the popular dance band Continental Divide at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 4 at the Commons. Continental Divide has been playing venues across the southeast for more than 30 years. From the silky smooth voice of Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame performer Gene Pharr to the lightness of the rhythm section to the flowing lines of the horn section they put on a performance that everyone will sure to remember. Freedom Fest

Freedom Fest - Bryson City North Carolina Celebrates Independence Day. Bryson City, North Carolina celebrates the Fourth of July holiday in a big way! An all day street festival with 4-station bungee, a kid's area, live music, food tents, arts and crafts, with evening fireworks makes for a great family fun event for the 4th of July!

Bryson City, North Carolina’s Freedom Fest – Saturday, July 3, 2021

The fun begins at 10 am, when Everett Street is closed for our favorite arts, crafts, food and music festival followed by a super fireworks show at 10 pm. Visit our restaurants or food trucks for dining indoors or on a patio, or at shady picnic tables or pavilions. And you’ll find food vendors with all your holiday favorites – funnel cakes, shave ice, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, BBQ, kettle corn and more.

Crafts vendors will include clothing, pottery, face-painting, make-a-candle, wood carvings, jewelry and more. (10 am – 6 pm)

Great music – Beginning at 6 pm, Kevin Daniel (southern rock and blues) will perform until 8 pm. Then Andrew Scotchie & The River Rats (voted Asheville’s #1 Rock Band for 5 consecutive years, 2016-2020) will take the stage until the fireworks begin at 10 pm.

There’s a kid’s activity area at Riverfront Park with bounce house for the little ones, plus a slide, monster truck combo, and 30-foot obstacle course. $5 wristband for all-day play.

At 10 pm, experience the best fireworks show in the Smokies! The fireworks are shot off of Airport Hill, which overlooks the town. There are plenty of good vantage points in the area. Downtown streets will not be closed but there are good spots on sidewalks, in Railroad Square, in the large Great Smoky Mountains Railroad parking lot, and other business lots as well as several municipal lots. Where to view fireworks. (Content: Bryson City - Swain County Chamber of Commerce)
