You will get to meet the visionaries of Cashiers, NC...from the Innkeepers, Chefs, Artists, Realtors and Developers. These folks are extremely busy and it is a rare glimpse as to what they all agree on......how incredible this special town is for everyone!

Cashiers and the nearby towns of Highlands, Glenville, and Sapphire make up a popular mountain vacation area near the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the easternmost front of the Appalachian Mountains. 

The United States Forest Service and The Nature Conservancy have both worked to protect several natural areas near Cashiers, including biologically diverse Panthertown Valley, Whitewater Falls, and the Tuckaseegee River Gorge. The Chattooga River also rises near Cashiers.

Hiking Whiteside Mountain


A landmark along the Eastern Continental Divide, Whiteside Mountain rises to an elevation of 4,930 feet. The mountain's cliffs look like sheets of ice draped across the mountain. This magnificent rock is about 390 to 460 million years old.

Silver Run Falls

One of the easiest waterfalls to park and walk to.

Silver Run Falls is a waterfall a few miles south of the town of Cashiers, North Carolina on Highway 107S . It is popular with locals and tourists alike. The falls are located after a flat, 200 yard trail.

Additionally, there is a second secret falls located above Silver Run. On the left side of the cliff face of the falls, just inside the woods, there is a slope of granite with many roots for handholds leading to the top of the falls. Follow the trail up top until you hear the second falls on your right.

Gorges State Park

Over 7000 acres of second growth forest with two of areas top waterfalls - Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls on the Horsepasture River.
